New Delhi, Dec 4: A unique Half-Marathon ''Run For Laadli'' is being organised on December 17 to
spread awareness towards gender equality and stop crimes against women.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the event,
being jointly organised by Delhi Police and Laadli Foundation.
It will be a timed chipped Run with live music concert to support a social cause with the largest volunteer enrollment programme, according to statement here.
The Run will start from JLN Stadium and end at Central Park, Connaught Place via India Gate (Rajpath).
There will be live telecast and the event will see the guest appearance of cabinet ministers, famous dignitaries, live music and dance performed by Bollywood celebrities.
Approximately 25,000 participants will run for the cause including professional runners, MNC employees, students from IIT, AIIMS and institutional universities.
The event will have a unique feature to bring 15,000 young boys with the support of Delhi Police to enroll them them for employment and skill training through 'Skill India' Programme. UNI
