Legislative Assembly from Shopian, Advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat today
conversed about various developmental works in Shopian constituency with DDC
Shopian Mohammad Aijaz Asad at District Administrative Complex Shopian.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers from R&B, PHE,
Irrigation, PDD, STD, Executive Officer Municipal Committee, Officers from
Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Youth Service and Sports, Education,
Floriculture, were present in the meeting and apprised the legislator about
ongoing developmental works and issues demanding his attention like provision of
funds under CDS.
During the session,
district officers gave a detailed overview regarding achievements made so far
under Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and other schemes. Progress made
under PWD, PDD, PMGSY, PHE, Health, Sports, Education and Rural Development
Department sectors also came under discussion during the meeting.
The
MLA asked all the concerned officers to work with utmost dedication and
commitment to address the problems of the people. He ensured them of all
necessary assistance and funding help under his constituency development fund.
While speaking during
the meet the DDC Shopian reiterated the commitment of District administration
Shopian in implementing the developmental agenda of the government. He further
added that regular inspection and monitoring of ongoing developmental works is
being done and no stone will be left unturned in the time-bound completion of
development works in District Shopian.
The MLA
said that Government has the vision to provide better road connectivity in the
far-off areas of the state under different schemes to explore the huge economic
potential in unlocked rural areas.
He said besides
providing basic facilities, the present government is working on a
comprehensive prospective plan to develop road infrastructure to connect rural
pockets with urban centres to boost economic growth.
He said better road connectivity is correlated with the overall economic
development of the region as it promotes access to economic and social
development.
He said that government is committed to the uniform development of all the
regions with special focus on neglected areas in terms of providing drinking
water, power supply, rations, health & educational facilities. He enjoined
upon officers to work with utmost dedication and in a coordinated manner and
act as a bridge between government and people in implementing various welfare
programs.
