New Delhi, Dec 4: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday filed his nomination for the
post of Party president and for his elevation to the top post.
Mr Gandhi filed his nomination in the presence of senior
party leaders Manmohan Singh, Oscar Fernandes and Sushil Kumar Shinde. With filing of the nomination by Mr Gandhi, decks have been
cleared for his elevation to the top post.Three to four sets of nomination paper were signed on the
behalf of Mr Gandhi by Dr Singh, Mr Shinde along with senior leaders like P Chidambaram and Mr Fernandes. UNI
