Mumbai, Dec 22: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday bounced back by 172.86 points at 33,929.14 as buying was witnessed across the board.
The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 39 points to 10,479.30.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,954.57 and 33,767.73 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,492.35 and 10,448.25 respectively.
The sectoral indices like that gained were Materials, Finance, Industrials and Auto pushed the market up in early trade.
The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 2.47 pc to Rs 536.90, ONGC by 1.97 pc to Rs 191.70, SBIN by 1.91 pc to Rs 322.60 and Tata Motors DVR by 1.62 pc to Rs 241.65.
The losers were Powergrid by 0.69 pc to Rs 202.30, Coal India by 0.65 pc to Rs 266.25, Tata Steel by 0.53 pc to Rs 711.70 and HeroMoto Corp by 0.51 pc to Rs 3789.60. UNI
