Delhi, Dec 13: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) was in
final stages to bring out its recommendations for much-awaited in-flight
connectivity and also plans to send its inputs to the telecom department for
the upcoming new telecom policy, TRAI chairman RS Sharma said on Wednesday.
Talking to reporters at the sidelines of an event here on
Wednesday TRAI Chairman said, "Recommendations on in-flight connectivity
will come out by the year end, which is in next 15 days."He however declined to divulge the details of the recommendations.
Speaking at the event organised by Broadband India Forum, Sharma said the telecom regulator will set the broad parameters of rules for in flight connectivity which at the moment is barred within Indian air space and domestic airlines.
