Agartala, Dec 13: The left front in Tripura to launch election campaign on December 31 in a central rally at Agartala well ahead of the announcement of poll schedule, said CPI(M) state secretary Bijan Dhar today.
He said the left front is well prepared to contest the election due in February next year.
The campaign of the left parties would be kicked off by CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury while Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar along with some other top leaders of the party are scheduled to address the rally.
“The rally will be held at Swami Vivekananda Stadium in the afternoon followed by which the left parties would go for district, sub-division and constituency level election rallies and meeting with the left leaders from West Bengal and other parts of the country besides, the leaders of the state,” Mr Dhar said.
He indicated that the left front has been ready with their contestants to fight for installing 8th left front government in the state and once poll schedule will announce, they will declared the candidates.
He however, accused RSS and BJP of perpetrating mischievous acts for creating division among various religions groups in Tripura. Before elections several Hindu temples were being attacked by the miscreants where Mr Dhar believed the involvement of RSS-BJP activists to trigger communal tension.
“The BJP in Tripura is trying to create ‘electoral religious polarization’ in the ensuing
assembly polls. But voters are well aware about such conspiracies of saffron party in this state,” he opined adding that CPI(M) has full-faith on the electorates and they will revert back in power in spite of conspiracies and violence of saffron brigade in the state.
Mr Dhar further pointed out that left parties urged upon the people of the country to
stand against the move of Modi government to pass the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance Bill 2017, which destroy the financial security of the depositors and investors about the assured return. UNI
