New Delhi, Dec 2: Continuing with his series of questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the run- up to the Gujarat Assembly election, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday asked the PM as to why the state was at 26th position when it comes to spending on education.
Posing the fourth in a series of questions being posed by him to the Prime
Minister, Mr Gandhi wondered how the dream of 'New India ' would be realised if
the students in the state were reeling under the burden of hefty fees in
schools and colleges. Mr Prime Minister, my fourth question to you- you turned
education into a business venture. Students in the state are reeling under the
burden of hefty fees. How will the dream of 'New India ' be realised? Why is
Gujarat at 26th place in terms of spending on education? What is the fault of
the youth?''
The Congress vice-president has been posing a series of questions to Mr Modi on the state of affairs in the state. On Friday, Mr Gandhi had attacked PM Modi of benefiting four private companies in Gujarat between 2002 and 2016 in the purchase of electricity, causing loss to the state exchequer. UNI
