New Delhi, Dec 7: Continuing his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the run up to the
Gujarat polls, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday questioned him
and the BJP on the problems afflicting the farm sector and farmers and asked
why step-motherly treatment was being given to farmers in the state.
In an apparent reference to Modi as 'Gabbar
Singh', Rahul said that the farming sector was hit by 'Gabbar Singh'.
Posing the ninth in the series of questions on the state of affairs in Gujarat being raised by him before the PM, Rahul said, 'neither have the farmers got loan waiver nor the adequate support price for their produce. They also did not get any amount by way of crop insurance nor did they receive any tubewells."
The farming sector has been hit by 'Gabbar Singh', The land of the farmers was snatched and the 'Annadata' (farmer) was rendered jobless. PM should tell us why this step motherly treatment to farmers.' UNI
