New Delhi, Jan 22: Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh on Monday took a
dig at President Ram Nath Kovind for approving recommendation of Election
Commission to disqualify 20 of its MLAs.
Taking to twitter, senior party leader Ashutosh
said,"Hope Mr President, Ram Nath Kovind knows that KR Narayanan acted as
the guardian of the Constitution, had courage of conviction to return the
recommendations of the Cabinet not once but twice. 'He was not a rubber stamp President, was a working President, a great President.'
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot and Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba are the high profile names featuring in list of 20 AAP MLAs disqualified in the notification issued yesterday by the Law Ministry after President's assent to the EC recommendation.
The Election Commission on Friday recommended to President disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs in the 'office of profit' case. UNI
