Interacts with patients; assures of
taking up centre’s
requirements with concerned quarters
SRINAGAR, JANUARY 16:
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Tuesday visited
the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) here to inspect the facilities available
for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities there.
During his visit, the DC interacted with the patients there
inquiring about their assessment of facilities provided to them at the centre.
He noted their concerns and assured of looking into their redress at the
earliest possible.
Seeking details of services provided at the centre, Dr. Shah
was informed that the same range from various comprehensive clinical services
to special education for those having impairments to provision of different
kinds of aids, adding the centre also provides vocational guidance and
counselling.
Dr. Shah later chaired a meeting with the centre’s administration and staff seeking
their suggestions for improving the facilities at the centre. He noted their
suggestions and assured of taking them up with the concerned quarters for their
earliest possible consideration.
CRC Srinagar is a service initiative with the aim of
creating resources and infrastructure required for developing services for
persons with disabilities in the State. It provides composite clinical,
rehabilitation and outreach camp services.
