Shimla, Jan 6: Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar has urged the government doctors to work in
coordination and dedication for serving the patients in a friendly way and also
asked them to fix a target of 100 days so as to meet the priorities within
proper time frame.
Addressing a meeting here on Friday, Mr Parmar said,
"The government has been implementing various schemes in the health sector
and it should be ensured that the targeted people get the maximum benefit."
He also added that the government has been providing free travelling facilities and medicines to the expectant mothers.
"A sum of Rs 20 crore was being spent on this scheme during this financial year. The government has also provided 330 types of medicine free of cost under National Health Mission", said the Health Minister.
Mr Parmar said that dialysis units were established in Solan, Mandi, Dharmshala, Kullu and Bilaspur hospital and this facility would be soon made available in Shimla, Una, Nahan, Chamba, Hamirpur, Paonta Sahib and Palampur hospitals which will be provided at nominal rates between Rs 1000 and Rs 1500 whereas BPL families will be treated free of charge.
