Mumbai, Jan 3: Nearly two lakh
office goers of this Metropolis did not get tiffin on Wednesday due to
disruption in transportation services in the wake of the state wide bandh.
Head of Mumbai Dabbawallas Association, Subhash Talekar, in a
statement said, 'Difficult to get means of transportation for delivery of
tiffins on time during Maharashtra Bandh. Mumbai Dabbawallas Association
decides to not run its delivery service, today."
The dabbawallas have been proud of their motto of 'deliver on time', irrespective of heat or heavy rains in the city.
