PM congratulate Aanchal Thakur for winning medal in Skiing

New Delhi, Jan 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Aanchal Thakur on winning India’s first international medal in skiing at FIS International Skiing Competition in Turkey.

“Well done Aanchal Thakur for winning an international medal in skiing! The entire nation is ecstatic on your historic accomplishment at the FIS International Skiing Competition in Turkey. Wishing you the very best for your future endeavours”, the Prime Minister said.
Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also congratulated her on twitter and said, "Congrats Aanchal Thakur for the Slalom Skiing Bronze in the FIS International Skiing Competition in Turkey. India opens account by a first ever medal in skiing?? Well done!”
Ms Thakur hails from Burua, a small village in Manali. She learnt the ropes from her father. UNI
