Agartala, Jan 16: The CPI-M Tripura state committee lodged a complaint against National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval with the Election Commission alleging that he had been misusing power and post in favour of BJP.
The CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar alleged that on January 14, central BJP leaders including Ram Madhav (in-charge of party’s affairs in North East) and senior RSS leader Krishna Gopal had a meeting at the residence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Doval was also present there.
He stated that the meeting was on a political purpose and added, "According to report, the meeting was conducted to discuss the poll strategy for the ensuing assembly elections of three states--Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland where presence of Doval is most unwarranted and unfortunate."
Speaking about Doval's reported presence in the meeting, Dhar said, "The presence of Ajit Doval is not only objectionable but a blatant misuse of administration by Modi government at the centre, which is nothing but a real threat to the democratic system of this country."
He sought immediate action of ECI to investigate the matter and take stern action against Doval. UNI
