New Delhi, Feb 28: Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday
launched a mobile application called 'Dr Harsh Vardhan app' which allows
citizens using smart phones to establish direct contact with him and send their
suggestions, problems, feedback and issues directly through videos/text/photos
to him.
Briefing mediapersons here about the app, Dr Vardhan said, 'the aim of this app is to connect with people of our constituency in a better way. This digital tool is aimed to remain connected 24x7 with people.'
He said the app has a host of features including 'Connect with Me', 'Janta Ki Awaaz' and 'Green Good Deeds'.
'Our government is committed to making environmental protection into a citizens' movement whereby every individual can contribute by executing at least one Green Good Deed everyday,' he said.
The app focuses on involvement of citizens in Green Good Deeds like saving energy, conserving water, planting trees, reuse and recycle, promoting carpool and use of public transport, Dr Vardhan said.
There are several other features of the app which includes Meri Awaaz, My Years with the RSS, My Books, Hall of Fame, My Constituency My People, News and Press, Photo Albums and Video Gallery.
The app was finalised for release after Beta trials that lasted two months and 20,000 people attended the presentations, the minister added. UNI
