Mumbai, Feb 22: The Rupee tumbled down by 29
paise to 65.04 a three month low on Thursday against the US Dollar in early
trade on increased Dollar demand by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex
Market said.
Firm dollar against other world curriencies put the Indian
currency under pressure, dealers added A fluctuation was seen during intra day as it registered the
day's high and low at 65.07 and 64.95 respectively.
The dollar's gain against major world currencies, after US Federal Reserve minutes hinted at hiking interest rates faster than expectations, also weighed the rupee sentiment, dalers added. UNI
