JAMMU, MARCH 03: Sh. Ajay
Sadhotra, former Minister, called
on Governor N.
N. Vohra, at the Raj
Bhavan.
Sh. Sadhotra raised attention
to the varied serious difficulties being faced by the large population living
in villages along the LoC on account of the recurring Cease Fire Violations by
Pakistan. He demanded allotment of 5 marla plots, increase in ex-gratia for
loss of human and cattle life, repair of houses damaged by shelling from across
the border, conduct of
special recruitment drives in the border areas and compensating farmers for the
loss of their crops due to the cross-border firing. Governor agreed to take up
all these demands with the Chief Minister.
Governor urged Sh. Sadhotra to continue his endeavours for
the growth and advancement of the State, on all fronts.
