Jammu 16 March 2018: J&K BJP taking strong note of ghastly militant act, strongly condemned the attack on Mohammad Anwar Khan in Kashmir. Khan is BJP’s District General Secretary, Baramullah, Kashmir from Jammu & Kashmir state.
Senior leaders of J&K BJP led by its State President & MLA Sat Sharma condemned the cowardly act of militants who attacked party leader, Mohammad Anwar Khan. They also expressed sympathy for injured police personnel, who was guarding him.
Sat Sharma, while condemning the attack, said that guns cannot silence the voice of those, who long for peace and development. He said these type of attacks can’t stop the BJP’s dedicated workers from Kashmir from choosing better future. He said that the incident of Balhama area of Pampore town, wherein Mohammad Anwar Khan could manage unhurt whereas his personal security officer (PSO) was injured, stands testimony to the fact that the separatists and the militants along with their supporters are worried of the developments in the Kashmir region as the Kashmiri population has understood the difference between the friend and the foe. "We strongly condemn the attack and express our sympathy to the injured cop," Sat said in a statement.
BJP State General Secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, who also happens to be the incharge for Kashmir region said that such acts cannot act as a deterrent in the peace process in the offering. He said that the common public in Kashmir has decided to vote for ballot over the bullet and the hatred mongers not able to digest the fact, are hell bent to spoil the perspective. He said that Kashmir, a land of age old traditions, piousness and brotherhood will soon ultimately progress on the peace and developmental. “By the virtue of strong will, every single BJP activist, undeterred by such cowardly acts, will ensure this”, he added.
BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Pawan Khajuria and Harinder Gupta also expressed the deep anguish over the incident and voiced their concern over the safety of the common Kashmiri population, who is trying hard to do good for the community and the society.
