Mar 6: A bus driver was killed and a conductor injured in a road accident
at Uri in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
Official sources told that a bus skidded off the road and fell into a deep
gorge in Uri in Baramulla, resulting in on the spot death of the driver and
injuries to the conductor.
The injured was immediately rushed to a hospital. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased, identified as Bashir Ahmad, was handed over to his relatives for last rites. “The bus had dropped passengers and was on way to Lalpull from Isham when the accident happened,” they added.
