PULWAMA, MARCH 3: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ghulam Mohammad Dar today conducted an Awami Durbar here at Awantipora to listen and redress the public grievances of the people.
          The Durbar witnessed people coming from different areas of the town and saw an overwhelming response of a large number of respectable citizens from town coming forward with their grievances, demands and suggestions.  
          On the occasion Town Welfare Committee Awantipora presented a memorandum of demands before the DDC which among others included supply of adequate water ,upgradation of health dispensary into sub-district hospital, issue of water stagnation in  horticulture and agricultural fields, establishing  degree college, macadamization of interior roads, appointments in IUST, renovation of  ancient spring at Awantipora town bearing historical significance, establishment of playground in the town , issuance of BPL and labour cards to poor household's and labourers respectively. 
          Responding to the demands of the people, the DDC assured the people that all genuine demands will be redressed effectively in a time-bound manner.
          The durbar was attended by Joint Director Planning, ADC Awantipora, Assistant Labour Commissioner Pulwama, CEO Pulwama, CMO Pulwama, Tehsildar Pampore & Awantipora, BMO Pampore and other district officers
