Div Com reviews CM’s commitments in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, MARCH 15:  Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress made, so far, on Chief Minister’s decisions for district Anantnag.

District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik briefed the Divisional Commissioner in detail about the action taken report on CM’s commitments which she had made to the general public during a public durbar held at Pulwama on November 11, 2017.   

The meeting was informed that up-gradation of WSS, Brinty Batpora, water facility to Gujjar and Bakerwal community at Pahalgam, the playground at Dadoo, flood protection works at Mirgund and improvement of LT/HT network at Pahalgam are those implemented works were financial commitments were implemented in full. It was further revealed that under PDD sector receiving station Shankarpora and Sallar have been augmented while as augmentation of RS, Hillar has already been tendered out and shall be completed in June, 2018. Besides the construction work of receiving stations at Dandipora, R. Kushipora Damhall and Kokernag have been proposed under centrally sponsored schemes.

DDC informed the chair that DPR of WSS, Watnard and Kokernag have been submitted to the higher authorities, while as WSS, Kasana Mohalla shall be taken up under NABARD.

DDC apprised that 319 directions were passed in the Awami Darbar out of which 74 have been implemented fully, while as the rest are under progress.

It was given out in the meeting that under Animal /Sheep Husbandry sectors directions have been implemented fully which includes construction of Animal Husbandry Centre, Bijbehara and Veterinary Centre at Jablipora.

While giving the details of the Animal /Sheep Husbandry Department, it was given out that all the 08 directions have been implemented, which include construction of building for Animal Husbandry Centre at Bijbehara and Veterinary Centre at Jablipora.

With regard to Health sector, it was given out that 04 directions have been implemented which include improvement of healthcare services at Badasgam and availability of healthcare services in the district hospital, Anantnag during night hours.

Div Com was informed that in Social Welfare Sector, both the 02 directions have been implemented. Similarly, in Rural Development Department out of 13 directions, 11 are under progress and directions regarding toilet facilities near Ziyarat Shariefs / Jamia Masjid have been made for the devotees.    

The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, Anantnag Chief Planning Officer, Anantnag, SE& R&B, Deputy Director Food & Supplies, CMO, CEO, Exens of PMGSY, PHE, PDD, R&B and all the district officers of the line departments.
