New Delhi, Mar 15: Former Defence Minister and Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was
on focus in the Lok Sabha on Thursday as even amid din and slogan shouting
several members, including from Trinamool Congress and RJD, came forward and
complimented him for his party's success in the bypolls in Uttar Pradesh.
Among others Trinamool Congress lawmakers Dinesh Trivedi and
Saugata Roy were the first to congratulate Mr Yadav for Samajwadi Party's
success in the bypolls as the party could successfully wrest Gorakhpur and
Phulpur parliamentary constituencies from the BJP.
RJD MP Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav was also seen gesturing victory signs and punched in the air as he was interacting with Mr Roy and others during Question Hour.
The Trinamool Congress leaders along with TRS have been pushing for an effective federal front of regional non-Congress, non-BJP parties especially eyeing the 2019 parliamentary elections due next year.
