New Delhi, Mar 12: Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi has approved the candidature of
Akhilesh Pratap Singh and Mr Lekhraj Sahu for the March 23 Rajya Sabha
elections.

Fernandes stated on Monday that while Mr Akhilesh Pratap Singh will contest the
polls from Bihar, Mr Lekhraj Sahu will enter the fray from Chhattisgarh.
On Sunday night, the party had announced the names of ten candidates for the biennial elections from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Bengal.
