Rani has surpassed her 'black' performance in 'Hichki ': Javed Akhtar

New Delhi, Mar 20: Noted writer, poet and Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar on Tuesday showered praise on Rani Mukherjee, saying that in her forthcoming film 'Hichki ', she had surpassed the performance given by her in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Black'.

In a post on social media, Javed Akhtar said, 'Watched Hichki . Who says sensitivity is dead in our cinema. I thought Rani will never surpass her 'Black' performance but in 'Hichki', she has gone much beyond it. Congratulations to director Siddharth Malhotra and producer Adi Chopra for this lovely film.'
'Hichki ', that marks Rani's comeback to films after a long hiatus, hits cinema screens on March 23. UNI
