Islamabad, Mar 14: Pakistan's ruling (PML-N) has elected Punjab province Chief Minister Shahbaz
Sharif as its president.
Ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz
was elected (PML-N) president on Tuesday, two weeks after his appointment as
interim chief of the party.
He was elected unopposed during Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) general council meeting held here.
Mr Nawaz Sharif was last month barred from leading a political party following his disqualification by the Pakistan Supreme Court in Panama Papers case. UNI
