Sukhnandan chairs Petitions Committee meeting

JAMMU, MARCH 27: A meeting of the Committee on Petitions of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar.

Legislators, R S Pathania, Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, Yawar Ahmad Mir and Noor Mohammad Sheikh attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions to make the functioning of the Committee more vibrant and result oriented.

The Committee held elaborate discussions on the new petitions received by the committee for further examination.

They directed the Assembly Secretariat to seeks comprehensive reports from the concerned departments on all the petitions for their early disposal.

Discussions were also held on progress made regarding pending Petitions before the Committee.

Deputy Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Abdul Qayoom Mir, besides other senior officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.
