DDC Budgam reviews Gram Swaraj Abhiyan action plan

BUDGAM, APRIL 12: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Harun Malik today convened a meeting to discuss the formulation of action plan for the implementation of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to be held from April 14 to May 5, 2018.

Assistant Commissioner Development Budgam, CMO, CAO, CEO, Programme Officer ICDs District Social Welfare, District Panchayat Officer, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Exen PDD, District Lead Bank Manager and Block Programme Managers NRLM were present on the occasion.

During the meeting, the objectives of the ‘Abhiyan’ were discussed and concerned officers were directed to formulate action plan regarding the Village Self Governance Campaign activities to be undertaken in each Gram Panchayat of the district.

It was revealed that different programmes like Social Justice Day on April 14, Swachh Bharat Divas on April 18, Ujala Divas on April 20, Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Divas on April 24 will be celebrated. Moreover, Gram Swaraj Divas on April 28, Ayushman Bharat Divas and Farmers welfare Dayand Aajeevika Divas will be celebrated. It was said that new LPG connections shall be distributed to the eligible beneficiaries under Ujjwala Scheme during the said campaign.

The DDC directed all the officers to work in coordination for better results at the grass root level. He also asked RDD, Health and ICDS officials to ensure the presence of VLWs, GRSs, ANMs, Anganwadi and Asha Workers in Gram Panchayats during the conduct of Gram Sabha.
