New Delhi, Apr 18: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the promoters and directors of a private company for allegedly cheating banks to the tune of around Rs 2,654.40 crore.
"Suresh Narain Bhatnagar, Amit Bhatnagar and Sumit Bhatnagar, Promoters & Directors of Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd, Vadodara were arrested in an ongoing investigation of a case," the probe agency said here on Wednesday.
The CBI said it registered a case against the said accused and others on the allegations of cheating the Banks to the tune of around Rs 2654.40 crore by falsification of accounts, creation of false documents and forgery of records.
The arrested accused will be produced before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Ahmedabad, it stated. UNI
