JAMMU, APRIL 25: To mark the completion of two years of functioning
of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, a PET
CT facility was launched at this Hospital today.
Governor N. N. Vohra, Chairman of the Shri Mata
Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, inagurated the PET
CT Scan facility at this tertiary care Hospital in the presence of Dr. Devi
Shetty, Founder and Chairman
of Narayana Health; Dr. S. S. Bloeria, Member Shrine Board; Mr. B. B. Vyas,
Board Member and Chairman of Governing Body of the Hospital; and Mr. Umang
Narula, Principal Secretary to the Governor and CEO of the Shrine Board.
The Governor and Dr. Shetty viewed the PET CT
facility and interacted with the doctors about its functioning.
The PET CT facility, not presently available in the
Jammu region, will immensely help in the detection of cancer and other serious
ailments. The introduction of this facility will enable the
delivery of the entire range of cancer
related services at the Narayana Super Speciality Hospital
and provide affordable health care in the Jammu region.
