UDHAMPUR, APRIL 24: A day long blood donation camp was organized by Red Cross Society in collaboration with District Health Society and Nirankari Charitable Foundation in the premises of Sant Nirankari Bhawan Shiv Nagar, Udhampur here today.
Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur Dr. K.C Dogra was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the blood donation camp in presence of Zonal Incharge, Nirankari Charitable Foundation, and V. P Singh on the occasion.
  Around 115 volunteers from all sections of the society participated and donated the blood for the noble cause to save precious lives.
          Chief Medical Officer, appreciated the coordinated efforts and contribution made by District Red Cross Society and Nirankari Charitable Foundation to organize such types of camp to save precious lives. He also highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation and said that such camps would go a long way to minimize the paucity of blood in health institutions time to time. He called upon the people to come forward to participate in the blood donation camps voluntarily to contribute their bit in the noble endeavour.
Among others, Secretary Red Cross Society, Dr. V.P Sharma, Sanchalak, Nirankari Mission Udhampur Rattan Lal, officials of Blood Bank District Hospital and large number of volunteers were present on the occasion.
