| Minister holds public grievances redress camp at Koulpur |
JAMMU, APRIL 10: Reaffirming government’s
commitment towards ensuring durable asset creation in all sectors, Minister for
Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga, today termed road connectivity
as key towards peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
The Minister was addressing a large public
gathering after inaugurating the road widening work from ChakSalarian to
Koulpur in Ramgarh, Samba which would be completed with an estimated cost of
Rs.1.5 crore.
The Minister asserted that durable roads and
enhanced infrastructure tops the development agenda of the present dispensation
and focus is being laid on upgrading and improving the road network in rural
and remote areas. “Emphasis is being laid on improving road network by
linking internal roads with National Highways to give a further fillip to
development activities in the state”, he added. He said
that the government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure and
providing better civic amenities to the people of the state.
Later, the Minister convened a public grievances
redressal camp at village Koulpur and took stock of issues of the locals.
The Minister, while highlighting the development
activities on the occasion, said that development works of more than rupees one
crore are under process in the area. He said that three transformers in the
area have been upgraded to 100 KV as per the demands of the locals. He further
said that Rs.26 crore have been sanctioned for the road from Vijaypur to Esmpur
and Rs. 8 crore for the road from SwankhaMorh to Baba Chamblyal.
Responding to demands of the people, Ganga assured
them that all their issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for
an early redressal.
