Class 11th student stabbed to death on ‘mistaken identity’ in Kathua

Jammu, May 2: A class eleventh student on Wednesday was stabbed to death on ‘mistaken identity’ in a group clash broke out at Degree College Billawar in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An eleventh class student identified as Liyakat Ali, was stabbed by two persons in the degree college during a clash broke out between two groups following which he was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College, Jammu where doctors declared him brought dead, police here said.
Police however, on receiving information rushed to the spot and arrested the accused persons identified as Abhishek Sharma and Honey Khajuria.
Meanwhile their car was also seized.
“As per preliminary information, the accused ‘mistakenly’ stabbed the deceased as they were looking out for someone else,” police added.
A case has been registered under relevant sections and investigation taken up. UNI
