DM Kargil for intensifying ban on polythene use

KARGIL MAY 25: The District Magistrate (DM) Kargil has directed the committees already constituted for preventing the use of polythene to intensify their efforts and properly monitor and check the markets on weekly basis.

Further, the Sub-Divisional Magistrates have also been directed to constitute committees in their respective jurisdictions and submit consolidated reports on every Monday.

The general public, shopkeepers, hoteliers, vegetable, meat and chicken sellers, hawkers as well as vendors etc. have been directed to abstain from using any polythene or polythene bags nor sell polythene in any shop in future.

It was said that the violators will be dealt under the law.
