SRINAGAR, MAY 02: Minister of State for
Forest, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control and Animal Sheep Husbandry,
Fisheries, Cooperative and Transport Mir Zahoor Ahmad Wednesday said that the present Government headed by the
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide basic amenities
to the people of the State.
This
was stated by the Minister while interacting with the several deputations
coming across the State including Pampore Constituency who called on him
here today.
The
Minister said that several centrally sponsored and State sector schemes have
been launched in the state with the aim to improve the living standard of the
people, especially to weaker sections of the society.
He
said that the concerned departments have already been directed to implement the
schemes on the ground and cover a maximum lot. Reiterating the efforts of the
Government to maintain peace in the State, the Minister said that peace is
imperative for the overall sustainable development of the State.
The deputations projected various demands including constructions
of lanes, drains and issuance of timber. The Minister gave
them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will
be looked into.
