Market Checking during Ramzan : FCS&CA charges Rs 1.94 lakh fine from erring traders

JAMMU MAY 28: The Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Jammu has realised Rs  1.94 lakh  during  special drive launched across Jammu Province   to check the rate of Essential Commodities  on the eve of holy month of Ramzan.

 All the Assistant Directors of Food, Civil Supplies of various districts accompanied by the Tehsil Supply Officer and Area Inspector of the concerned area conducted the inspection of 1290 shops,  business establishments, hotels, sweet shops , Meat & Chicken Shops and booked 489 traders for violating certain norms.

The erring traders were charged a fine of Rs.194550 including Rs 48500 in Jammu Rs 4000 in Samba, Rs 26850 in Kathua , Rs 24200 in Udhampur, Rs 4700 Reasi, Rs 36500 in Rajouri, Rs 6400 in Poonch, Rs 17300 in Doda and Rs 26100  in Ramban.
