New Delhi, May 14: The Supreme Court on Monday indicated that it may consider passing orders for e-auction of 618 acres of Unitech land in Varanasi, Agra and Tamil Nadu by July end to generate funds to meet refund demands from home buyers.
Headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and also comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud, the bench, may pass a detailed order on July 5, the next date of hearing in the case.
The apex court today was apprised that the auction procedure is not fixed. The money was still not deposited.
Amicus Curiae (friend of the court) submitted that there are 13 listed out properties. The list of properties was submitted before the bench.
The promoter of the real estate company, Unitech, Sanjay Chandra, is currently in jail.UNI
