Jammu, June
30: Josh Talks in partnership with Facebook hosted #Boost Your Business,
an event that brings together business pioneers and upcoming professionals, on
the 30th of June in Jammu.
It was
groundbreaking in every sense of the word. The day-long programme cut across
genres and brought forth inspiring narratives by entrepreneurs and change
makers.
Yakjah, a
Kashmiri word meaning 'being together,' is an initiative being run by Ashima
Kaul in Jammu & Kashmir for transforming human relationships and building
peace. Ashima’s vision for the youth of Kashmir was lauded by the audience.
Mohammad Muneem,
the leading voice behind the Urdu band Alif, is inspiring a shift towards
compassion and oneness through colloquial references in his poetry and music.
He inspired everybody in the audience to let go of stereotypes, assumptions and
fears.
Sandeep Chaudhary
dropped out of journalism only to clear the UPSC exam in the first attempt
while he was working at NABARD. His talk was a major source of inspiration for
the crowd.
Monika Manohar,
the only Bokwa instructor in Jammu, strongly believes in encouraging women
between the age of 15 and 55 to work on their fitness. For this purpose she
started Women Alive, an aerobics and kathak centre that has has been
successfully running in the Jammu region for over five years.
Ankush Gupta,
founder of Servicesmojo and Jammu Startup Community, inspired young innovators
to expand their ideas into startups. His talk closed the event on a high note.
