Listens to problems of shelling-affected farmers
JAMMU, JUNE 06: Commissioner Secretary Animal, Sheep Husbandry
& Fisheries Raj Kumar Bhagat conducted two-day extensive tour of border
areas and listened to problems of locals particularly those affected by heavy
cross border shelling.
Accompanied by Director AH Jammu and concerned
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, he visited border areas of Pargwal and Akhnoor
At
Pargwal, he interacted with the local inhabitants and gave a patient hearing to
the problems faced by them. On spot instruction were given to the
officers/officials to combat any situation arising from the cross-border
firing.
At Akhnoor, Secretary chaired a meeting of the
officers and officials of the concerned area and took the feedback from them.
Instructions were given to the staff for smooth functioning of the department.
The Commissioner Secretary advised the departmental functionaries to
devise and develop ways and means to achieve self-sufficiency
in milk, meat and poultry production. He assured full cooperation to the
department.
