BARAMULLA,
JUNE 7: A day-long sensitization workshop on “Mission Indradhanush”
under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in ‘Aspirational Districts’ was today organized here
at Sherwani hall Baramulla which marks the participation of a huge gathering of
health functionaries and others concerned.
The workshop was
organized by Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization.
On the occasion,
various speakers including some WHO experts presented the essential features of
the programme and threw light on its various aspects. They provided necessary
guidelines with regard to the conduct of assessment and other related
components of the programme.
Speaking on the
occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo who was the chief guest
at the event urged upon the field functionaries to work with added zeal so that
all the objectives of the mission are achieved.
Deputy CMO Dr Jozi Bashir, during her address deliberated upon the
essential components of the mission wherein she urged for achieving 100%
target and to inculcate all the dropouts and left outs within its ambit. Dr
Jozi said that ‘Mission Indradhanush’ immunization programme has been the
thrust area of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has been
incorporated as a vital index in Aspirational District programme.
