Pays tributes to
Shaheed Bhagat Amarnathji
JAMMU, JUNE 02: Minister of
State for Education, Tourism, Tribal Affairs, Technical Education, R&B,
Rural Development and Information Shakti Raj Parihar today urged the
youth to work for uplift of weaker sections by drawing inspiration from great
men known for their fight for social reforms.
Minister was
speaking at tribute paying function organised to remember social reformer
Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Ji on his Martyrdom Day.
Paying rich
tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Ji, the Minister asked youth to
follow the footsteps of the valiant martyr who sacrificed his life to get equal
rights for the people belonging to weaker and downtrodden sections of the
society.

Bhagat and MLA, Chhamb Dr Krishan Lal Bhagat were also present in the programme.
Calling for a
uniform society, the Minister said youth should become torch bearers of change
and play their role in making India, a perfect place to live.
He also paid
tributes to the Father of Indian Constitution Baba Sahib BR Ambedkar who
campaigned against the social discrimination with the weaker sections of the
society.
The Minister also released a documentary based on the life and struggle
of Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Ji and felicitated brilliant softball player Ankur
Bhagat who brought laurels to the State in Asian Championship held in
Indonesia.
