SRINAGAR, JUNE
12: A 3-day workshop on Playwrighting in Kashmiri organized by
Sahitya Academy New Delhi took off at Yusmarg today.
The workshop was
inaugurated by famous theatre personality and film maker Bashir Dada.
Convener Kashmiri
Advisory Board of Sahitya Academy New Delhi Dr Aziz Hajini was also present on
the occasion.
Ten young
playwrights of Kashmiri language representing various parts of the
state are participating in the workshop.
The budding writers
are being oriented by Senior theatre Directors and playwrights Shafiq Qureshi
and Gulzar Ganaie.
Shabir Ahmad, a local theatre activist is coordinating the workshop
under the supervision of Dr Hajini and Parmeshvaran a senior functionary of
Sahitya Akademy New Delhi.
