Says
nations progressed by strengthening their education system
BARAMULLA,
JULY 07: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today
exhorted that imparting quality education to the students is
the only way to enable them to compete on state, national and international
levels. He said that nations can't progress and can't achieve the higher
levels of development unless its educational mechanism is strengthened at the
grass root level.
The DC
was speaking at a function organised here in connection with annual Day
celebration of a local private school.
He said
that a strong education system is the foundation stone of a strong nation
and those nations who consolidated their education mechanism have excelled in
every field.
While
terming a teacher as a nation builder, Dr Naqash, who was the chief guest
on the occasion, urged upon the teachers to create conducive environment while
dealing with the students and stressed for adopting student friendly learning
measures. He also assured them that the administration will not leave any
stone unturned to improve the education system.
Meanwhile,
various cultural items were presented by the students with different titles and
themes. Best performing students were also felicitated with awards.
Director Planning, AG Malik, Tehsildar Baramulla Maeen Kakroo and
various district officers, parents, civil society members and a large gathering
of students were present on the occasion.
