SRINAGAR, JULY 04:
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today directed RTO Kashmir
to ensure dedicated court specific public transport facility to District Court
Complex (DCC) Moominabad.
The
Divisional Commissioner made this direction while reviewing the progress of
work and other co-related infrastructure issues concerning the DCC Moominabad.
The
meeting was informed that six vehicles are plying to and fro from Jehangir
Chowk to Moominabad area.
The
Divisional Commissioner directed RTO Kashmir to ensure that ten vehicles should
ply exclusively and dedicatedly on this vital route immediately so that people
do not face difficulty regarding the transportation to the district court
complex.
Regarding
the cleanliness in and around the court complex, Khan directed Commissioner SMC
to deploy additional manpower to the area for proper and regular sanitation
drive.
Commissioner
SMC informed that a joint survey has been conducted by Traffic Advisor to
Government, ascertaining the feasibility on the installation of traffic signals
and construction of rotary traffic circular near the district court complex.
The
Divisional Commissioner asked the Traffic Advisor to submit Topographic
Survey within two-days to
Commissioner SMC for necessary action.
Engineers
of UEED informed that the STP stands installed and are presently on trial run.
For
identification and construction of tea and coffee shop in the premises for
judicial and staff members, Khan directed Superintending Engineer R&B to
prepare a proposal immediately so that the construction work can be started
soon.
For
beautification and landscaping of district court complex premises, it was also
informed that DPR worth Rs 1.64 crore had been already submitted to
concerned authorities for necessary action.
Additional District and Sessions Judge, Traffic
Advisor to Government, RTO Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar,
Commissioner SMC, Chief Engineers of UEED and PHE, Director Floriculture,
Superintending Engineer R&B, Assistant Commissioner (Central) and other
concerned officers were present in the meeting.
