SRINAGAR, JULY 17: To provide quality education to specially-abled
children, the government is going to establish residential schools each in
Srinagar and Jammu for such children.
This was stated by Director School Education Kashmir
(DSEK) Dr GN Itoo at a function here organized by Zonal Education Office,
Rainawari.
During the function, 200 specially-abled children were
provided with free aids worth Rs 10.00 lakh under SSA.
Speaking on the occasion, DSEK said that the
Department is at the forefront in providing quality education to the
differently-abled children. He said that these children are an important part
of the society and “it is our duty to help them.”
The specially-abled children were provided with
wheelchairs, smart can, smartphone, daisy player, MR kit, ADL kit, hearing
aids, braille kit and other aids during the function.
State Coordinator SSA TR Mangotra, Chief Education
Officer Srinagar, Mudasir Kaleem Fazili and other concerned were also present
on the occasion.
