KUPWARA, JULY 02: District administration
Kupwara today issued a circular ordering the unauthorized occupants of
government accommodations to vacate the same for facilitating accommodation of
the officers/officials working in the district who have not yet been allotted
lodging facilities.
“It has
been observed that some officials are in possession of government accommodation
in the district who were transferred from the district long back and are still
in possession of the accommodation allotted to them. Various officers/officials
working in the district are facing hardship for want of government
accommodation,” the circular mentions.
It was said that
the matter has also been brought to the notice of the office of District
Magistrate
“It is impressed upon such officers/officials to vacate the same
accommodation and handover the keys of respective quarters in the personal
section of DC office within next two days. In case of any failure, the
possession of accommodation will be taken up and their stock, if any will be
seized and put under government custody. Moreover, action, as warranted under
law, shall be initiated against the defaulters,” the circular reads.
