ANANTNAG, AUGUST 16: District
Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today visited
Halmulla Sangam to take stock of the progress on the construction of a
Recreational Park.
The park is being
constructed by the Department of Floriculture Anantnag at an
estimated cost of Rs. 5.20 Crore. Located on the right side of the
Srinagar–Jammu National Highway at Halmulla Sangam, the park will be a major
attraction for tourists and locals alike, besides creating employment
opportunities.
The DDC was
informed that earth filling has been completed on 22 kanals of the park, while
as the construction of fencing and gate pillars, is under progress.
The DDC
instructed the concerned departments to finish the work on the additional
portion of the park immediately and complete the construction within
the stipulated time period.
The DDC was accompanied by SDM Bijbehara, Tehsildar Bijbehara and
officers of the Floriculture Department Anantnag.
