DDC reviews progress on PMGSY projects

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 30: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar today reviewed phase wise progress achieved under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) here at a meeting of concerned departments.

Detailed discussion was held on the status of   PMGSY roads taken up under phase –III to Phase X, removal of debris accumulated due to landslides in current rainy season, land acquisition status for roads sanctioned under III to X phase, status of pending construction works etc.

The DDC impressed upon the officers to maintain quality in works while construction of road and bridges and strictly adhere to the time limits. 

He asked the Executive Engineers to jointly inspect the sites of damages caused to forest land and ensure proper supervision of works being executed by contractors.  

The DDC also called for conducting joint inspection of concerned departments to remove the bottlenecks hindering the progress of sanctioned development works.

 Expressing concern over delay in various works leading to cost escalation, he exhorted upon the officers to work in tandem with other agencies.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, SE PMGSY, Manzoor Ahmed, Executive Engineer PMGSY, Ashok Kumar besides Officers/ Officials of revenue department.
