Jammu, August 16: Amid hoisting of National Flag, Team Jammu celebrated 72nd Independence Day by taking a pledge to fight against the menace of drugs till Jammu Province becomes a drug free zone.
Attending serious of Independence Day functions in different parts of Jammu city including Satwari, Shakti Nagar and Rehari Colony, Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal urged the youth to take a pledge to root out the menace of drugs in our society by leaving no stone unturned in the fight against narco-terrorism.
Volunteers of Team Jammu raised slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Jammu, Jio Jammu, Jai Hind, Hindustan Zindabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal cautioned people, particularly youth, not to take the drug menace lightly as this danger was slowly eating up young generation of Jammu and has been spreading its tentacles from towns to even rural belts of Jammu Province.
Pointing out that Pakistan was sponsoring Narco-Terrorism in Jammu region, Zorawar Singh Jamwal explained that after remaining failed to instigate troubles in Jammu and its patriotic youth, the neighbouring country has now adopted this new mode to devastate the entire generation of the land of Dogras, who have had been firmly holding the national flag and serving the nation in all aspect. He vowed to take the ongoing crusade against drug menace to a logical conclusion despite all odds and sought cooperation of each and everyone in this regard.
Other speakers also extended their full support to the Team Jammu and laid stress for unity under one platform to take the ongoing fight against narco terrorism to a logical conclusion for ensuring that our future generations are saved.
