Municipal Polls-2018: DC Kargil reviews arrangements

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 25: The District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Kargil, Vikas Kundal today review preparations for Municipal Elections 2018 in a meeting held here.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Kargil, Dr Vinod Kumar, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Kargil, Khadim Hussain, Assistant Director of Information, Abdul Ahad Bhat, and other police and civil administration officers.

Threadbare discussion was held on various issues including transport and communication plan, security plan, availability of EVMs, security arrangements for polling day and Strong Room.

Addressing the meeting, the District Election Officer sought cooperation from all the concerned officials for successful completion of Municipal Polls. He stressed on immediate review of sensitive polling stations, besides deployment of vehicles for ferring polling staff.
