KATHUA, JANUARY 23: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli and Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affair, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali on Tuesday visited the family of eight year old-Asifa who was murdered in Rasana village of Hiranagar recently and assured action against culprits.
Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars and Bakerwals, Choudhary Gulzar Khatna also accompanied the Ministers.
The Ministers expressed condolence with the bereaved family and termed the incident as heinous and inhumane. They said the government is committed to identify and punish the culprits so that no such unfortunate incident takes place again.
Kohli and Zulfkar said that on the directions of Chief Minister the government has already transferred the case to Crime Branch to investigate the matter in a time bound manner for assured justice.

Deputy Commissioner Kathua and other senior officers of the district were also present on the occasion.



JAMMU, JANUARY 23: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today welcomed handing over the investigation of case of the murder of a minor girl at Hiranagar to the Crime Branch of the State Police.
The Minister said the decision would further accelerate the process of investigation into this heinous crime and ensure restoration of the peoples confidence. He said the government is committed to ensure culprits involved in this inhuman act do not go scot free.
 He said the swift action of the government would also act as a deterrent to prevent recurrence of such gruesome acts which are a blot on the humanity.
Pertinently, earlier today, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri informed the Legislative Assembly that along with the magisterial probe, the Crime Branch of Jammu Kashmir Police will investigate the murder of 8-year-old Ashifa Jan in Hiranagar area of district Kathua.




JAMMU, JANUARY 23: Minister for Revenue and parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri today informed the house that the government has handed over the case of murder of a minor girl Ashifa in Hiranagar to Crime Branch J&K Police.

He said the government has accorded sanction to the transfer of the case FIR No: 10/2018 Under Section 363, 302 RPC of Police Station Hiranagar, district Kathua to Crime branch for further investigation.
